The City of Minneapolis has reached a $27 million settlement with George Floyd's family just weeks before the trial is scheduled to begin for the former officer charged with murder in his death.
Footages from a video in May 2020, showed a white Minnesota Police Officer captured on Camera holding an armless black man in handcuffs to a disturbing chokehold until he passes out despite onlookers plea to let him go as he didn't pose any threat. Other police officers were also seen in the viral video watching with some glee.
