In a thrilling display of athleticism and community spirit, the legendary Fire vs Water football match returned to Manhean Presby Park, marking over three decades of tradition and rivalry. The event, held as part of the Homowo Festival celebrations, drew hundreds of spectators and dignitaries, reaffirming its place as one of the most anticipated fixtures in the local sporting calendar.

Water FC took an early lead in the 10th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to slot home the opening goal. The momentum shifted midway through the first half, but it wasn’t until the 55th minute that Fire FC found their equalizer courtesy of a stunning long-range header  by Adama Tagoe from outside the 18-yard box to level the score at 1–1.

As the teams regrouped for the second half, the atmosphere soared with a vibrant halftime music performance by Rain Africa, featuring Ghanaian superstar Rain De-Exit. The crowd was treated to a high-energy set that blended traditional rhythms with contemporary Afrobeat, turning the pitch into a stage and adding a celebratory pulse to the already electric environment.

Despite several close chances from both teams, the deadlock persisted through full time, leading to a tense penalty shootout. In a dramatic conclusion, Water FC emerged victorious with an 8–7 win, securing the championship and igniting celebrations among their supporters.

The match was more than a contest of skill it was a vibrant community event. The championship cup was paraded through Manhean by Binnaparlour Pizza Ghana, the official sponsor of the tournament.
