Emmanuel Dennis Parts Ways with Nottingham Forest After Three-Year Stint
Nottingham Forest Football Club has officially announced the mutual termination of Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis’s contract, bringing an end to the striker’s three-year spell at the English Premier League side.
The 27-year-old forward joined Forest in 2022 from Watford FC in a £10 million transfer, signing a five-year deal amid high expectations following an impressive Premier League debut season. Dennis had previously earned a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month in November 2021 and arrived in England after a strong run with Belgian club Club Brugge.
Despite early promise, Dennis struggled to secure a consistent role at Nottingham Forest. During his time with the club, he was loaned to Turkish outfit İstanbul Başakşehir for the 2023–24 season, returned briefly to Watford, and later joined Blackburn Rovers in England’s second-tier Championship league for the 2024–25 campaign.
Forest confirmed his departure via social media, stating:
“Nottingham Forest can confirm that Emmanuel Dennis has left the Club following the mutual termination of his contract. We wish Emmanuel well for the future.”
