How often do you open WhatsApp and check the status section to see what your friends posted? I’m guessing it’s very often.
Do you get paid when you post something on your WhatsApp status? Well this app is changing the way we all use our WhatsApp status. Imagine getting paid each time you post something on your status. Curious?

The app is called WhatsAd. When you first download and register an account, you can choose whether you want to be a Marketer or Advertiser. More explanation on the difference later. It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsad.app) or you can use the website at https://whatsadmarket.com An iPhone version is reportedly coming soon.
WhatsAd – How It Works
Difference between Marketer and Advertiser
Marketer: A marketer is the user that posts Ads on their WhatsApp status and gets paid for doing so. These Ads are submitted by the Advertisers. This means the Advertiser is the one paying the Marketer posting for him/her.
Advertiser: An advertiser is one who posts his business/product/service on the platform for Marketers to post on their WhatsApp Status.

How much does it pay?
A Marketer is paid GHS0.50 for each Ad he/she posts. This means the more you post the more you earn. I have made GHS12 cedis already doing this. I do get a lot of views on my status so this works well for me 🙂
What is the requirement?
As a Marketer, you are required to get at least 50 views on your status when you post an Ad. Once you pass 50 views, you can then take a screenshot and upload it from your WhatsAd account dashboard. You are then credited in your account balance. Once your earning gets to GHS5 or more, you’ll notice a withdrawal button. Tap on it and wait for your withdrawal request to be processed. Once it is approved, you’ll receive your money in your mobile money account. Simple as that. Just make sure your mobile money account is set in your profile.
How much does it cost to upload an Ad as an Advertiser?
The advertiser is required to have at least GHS10 in his account before he can post an Ad. From here you have the choice to select any budget you want to spend on an Ad. GHS10 cedis will serve your Ad to 10 marketers, GHS20 to 20 marketers, and so on.
It’s a pretty cool offer if you ask me. Now here’s a simple math. Assuming I upload an Ad and set a budget of GHS10, that means I’ll reach an audience of 500 from WhatsApp status. Sounds like a good deal right?
