Davido to donate $10k to hotel staff, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary for returning misplaced $70,000 to a customer

Luck has shone on Nigerian lady, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, as David Adeleke popularly known as Davido promises to donate $10,000 to her.

The Nigerian lady, Kekwaaru, who is a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites had found missing $70,000 and promptly returned it to the owner in Lagos.

While netizens questioned her sanity in returning such a large amount of money, especially with the economy being the way it was, Davido has asked that the woman be found as he wished to reward her for her selflessness.

In a Twitter post, he wrote: “Find her for me…..I donate $10k.”

This is not the first time the artiste has shown his generosity to members of the public as he recently donated 237 million naira to orphanages in Nigeria.

Mary had returned $70,000 after a guest, who pleaded anonymous, left behind a bag containing the substantial sum in one of the hotel’s suites.

Upon discovering the bag, the staff member immediately reported it to the hotel management.

The hotel’s General Manager, in line with the establishment’s policy of integrity and transparency, promptly initiated the process of returning the money to its rightful owner.

The guest was contacted and the money was returned in full, much to their relief and gratitude.

According to the General Manager of Eko Hotel and Suites, Danny Kioupouroglou, “this incident is a testament to the honesty and integrity of our staff.

“At Eko Hotel and Suites, we pride ourselves on our commitment to ethical conduct and exceptional customer service. We believe that our staff are our greatest asset, and this incident is a testament to that belief.”

The guest expressed his profound gratitude to the hotel staff and management, praising their swift action and integrity.
