He explains that he fell in love with cricket at the age of 10 when he was in Grade 4 at NRS. "I did play other sports, but cricket stuck with me and I have been playing it ever since. My biggest highlight in cricket is When we played a tournament in Pongola and I had four catches.
My captain and coaches were so proud of me." Shinga is a force to be reckoned with as a bowler and fielder.
He says he had mixed emotions when he found out he had been selected to play in India. He is nervous and excited at the same time, not knowing quite what to expect.
He practices a lot in his free time and explains that he looks up to international cricketer Kagiso Rabada.
