This is a  man-made, mechanical forest in Singapore

Singapore Gardens is quite an incredible thing. Science, art, and nature interconnect in this outdoor spectacle.

These Supertrees aren’t just beautiful to look at, they are functional as well. They act as vertical gardens, generating solar power, serving as air-venting ducts for nearby conservatories, and collecting rainwater.

Varying in height between 75 and 150 feet, each Supertree features tropical flowers and various ferns climbing across its steel framework. The large canopies also operate as temperature moderators by absorbing and dispersing heat and providing shelter from hot temperatures for visitors walking beneath.

 At night the Supertrees change colors during a light and music show. The last time I was in Singapore was almost 20 years ago, and it has changed so much. What a dynamic, beautiful, fascinating city it is today.
