Ghanaian Police Operatives stormed the venue of the meeting of the group in Ghana arresting all their members.

 News making rounds on social media by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is that police operatives stormed the venue of the meeting of the group in Ghana arresting all their members.


The group alleged that Ghanaian policemen stormed IPOB general meeting venue today, 29th August 2021, at Mallam Junction Ghana, and arrested all members present.


Confirming the development, Emeka Gift, one of the media team member of IPOB in a tweet on Sunday evening, called on the president of Ghana, Nakufo Addo to ensure the release of their members.



“Hello Mr. President sir,@NAkufoAddo, We have just received information that IPOB family members doing their peaceful meeting in Ghana have all be arrested by your country police.



“IPOB worldwide urge you sir to please free our people, they committed no crime. Thanks Mr. President,” he tweeted.


As the time of this report, IPOB is yet to issue an official statement with respect to this development.
